Overview

Mercyhealth, an award-winning fully integrated health care delivery organization based in Wisconsin and Illinois, is seeking an experienced Midwife to join our Women’s Health team at our Mulford Clinic in Rockford, IL.

Opportunity:

  • Provide patient care and education to an assigned caseload of obstetrical and gynecological patients in accordance with established midwifery practice guidelines
  • Educate midwifery, medical and nursing students, and nursing and resident staff in normal childbirth.
  • Collaboration with our experienced OB/GYN physician team
  • Hours will vary clinic office hours are 8a-5p and calls are shared amongst midwife group with CNMs performing 24-hour on call shifts
  • Position will include both clinic and assisting with deliveries at the hospital, including c-sections in the OR
  • Our newly constructed $505 million-dollar specialty referral hospital along I-90 in Rockford features a women’s and children’s unit with neonatal and high-risk maternity care.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Midwifery Program
  • Current IL RN license
  • Current IL APRN license
  • Current DEA number
  • Other certifications as required
  • Previous Midwife experience preferred
